Feast Day: Saint Aidan and the Saints of Lindisfarne 31st August.
Aidan (Aedan), Bishop.
One of the great evangelising saints of the British Isles. Thought to be of
Irish descent he was sent from Iona to preach the Gospel in Northumbria where
he founded a monastic cathedral on Lindisfarne (Holy Island) and was
consecrated Bishop.
Known for his love and
protection of animals his emblem is a stag which he is thought to have saved
from hunters.
Wall Hanging Banner: Dye sublimation printing on a 100% close weave, natural feel polyester material with dowling, tulip wood end caps and gold effect hanging cord. Fire retardant: BS5867/Type B DIN4102. An extra depth of approx. 12" should be allowed when measuring to allow for the hanging cord. A sample of the material can be supplied upon request.
