Faith Map Volumes A, B and C
A bright, inspiring and totally original scheme for celebrating the
Liturgy of the Word with young and junior school-aged children.
The books contain material for each Sunday of Years A, B and C. They do
not include the text of the Sunday readings.
Faith Map is designed to be used, as a whole or in sections by anyone
involved in children's liturgies, Sunday school, primary school assemblies or
by parents at home. The books contain stories, prayers and activities in a
"ready-to-use format" and include photocopiable worksheets and family
sheets which take the themes explored into daily, family life.
Each Sunday Gospel is explored in five sections:
- Introduction to the theme of
the day with a Leader's Reflection.
- Arrival: Gather around a
focal point. The Sunday Gospel is read from the Lectionary/Children's
Lectionary.
- Response: Questions for
discussion.
- Activity: Practical
suggestions with photocopiable template. Tips for those with
learning difficulties are included.
- We Come Together to share,
pray and sing, offering the opportunity for parents to join the group
activity.
Faith Map is based on the Roman Catholic lectionary but because most of
the readings coincide with those of Common Worship an Anglican contents list is
also provided.
