May Peace Be With You - Banner
This banner incorporates the traditional
Chinese symbol for peace and the Hebrew greeting: Shalom aleichem, "Peace
be upon you."
The importance of this greeting to Christians
is indicated by St John when he describes that on the very day of his
resurrection Jesus appeared to his frightened disciples who were in hiding and
greeted them, not once, but twice, with the words, "Peace be with
you." He then commissioned them to go out to the world and breathed the
Holy Spirit on them. A week later Jesus appeared in the same room to
Thomas and the others with the same greeting, "Peace be with
you." (John 20: 19 - 29.)
Banner: Dye sublimation printing on a 100% close weave, natural feel polyester
material with dowling, tulip wood end caps and gold hanging cord. Fire
retardant: BS5867/Type B DIN4102. An extra depth of approx. 12"
should be allowed when measuring to allow for the hanging cord. A sample of the
material can be supplied upon request.
