Stephen c.35 the first martyr (proto-martyr)
was one of the seven deacons who assisted the twelve Apostles after Jesus'
ascension. Stoned to death outside Jerusalem as a blasphemer, he died praying
for his killers. Saul of Tarsus later St Paul was present at his death.
Feast day:
26th December.
Will it fit my
