St. Rosa (Rose) of Lima (1586 - 1617). Born in Lima, Peru she was the first canonised saint from the Americas. She lived a life of penance and prayer; influenced by the example of St. Catherine of Siena she joined the Third Order of St. Dominic.
Feast Day 23rd August.
