John Bosco (or Don Bosco), 1815 - 31st
January 1888. Priest and Founder of the Salesian Society dedicated to St.
Francis de Sales.
Don Bosco's vision was to help the
young, the abandoned and the poor in practical ways and help them to come to
know Jesus spiritually, he opened an Oratory school for impoverished boys in
Turin which began the work of the Salesian Society.
Don Bosco worked with St. Mary Mazzarello to found the Salesian sisters
(Daughters of Mary, Help of Christians). Today there are thousands of religious
sisters and Salesian brothers and priests working
throughout the world continuing the vision of Don Bosco.
Wall Hanging Banner: Dye sublimation printing on a 100% close weave,
natural feel polyester material with dowling, tulip wood end caps and gold
effect hanging cord. Fire retardant: BS5867/Type B DIN4102. An extra
depth of approx. 12" should be allowed when measuring to allow for the
hanging cord. A sample of the material can be supplied upon request.
