Saint Elizabeth, mother of St. John the Baptist and kinswoman of Our
Lady.

RC: 5th November.
Orthodox & Anglican: 5th September.
All we know of Elizabeth is described in the Gospel of St. Luke. She was
married to Zachary and conceived John the Baptist at an 'advanced age'.
Elizabeth greets the pregnant Mary at the Visitation with the words "how
have I deserved that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"
