John Fisher, Bishop and Thomas More, Martyrs 22nd June.
In the Church of England SS. John
Fisher & Thomas More are commemorated as Reformation Martyrs on 6th July.
A Yorkshire man, student then Chancellor of
Cambridge University, Bishop of Rochester, Cardinal. A renowned scholar, tutor
and preacher. Acting according to his conscience he refused to sign the Oath of
Supremacy under Henry VIII and was imprisoned and executed on 22nd June at
Tower Hill.
Wall Hanging Banner: Dye sublimation printing on a 100% close weave,
natural feel polyester material with dowling, tulip wood end caps and gold
effect hanging cord. Fire retardant: BS5867/Type B DIN4102. An extra
depth of approx. 12" should be allowed when measuring to allow for the
hanging cord. A sample of the material can be supplied upon request.
