Vincent de Paul, Priest.
Feast Day 27th
September.
Born in France in 1581 he was ordained
at only twenty years of age. He dedicated his life to evangelising the poor and
to alleviating the suffering of the sick and the destitute. He founded the
Congregation of Priests of the Mission and, in collaboration with St. Louise de
Marillac, he established the Daughters of Charity.
In 1833 The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was established under his
patronage, it is a lay society which seeks in justice and charity to help those
suffering poverty in whatever form.
Wall Hanging Banner: Dye sublimation printing on a 100% close weave,
natural feel polyester material with dowling, tulip wood end caps and gold
effect hanging cord. Fire retardant: BS5867/Type B DIN4102. An extra
depth of approx. 12" should be allowed when measuring to allow for the
hanging cord. A sample of the material can be supplied upon request.
