Emilie de Rodat, religious foundress.
Feastday 19th September.
1787 to 1852 canonized
April 1950.
She became a nun at 18
and learned that she had a vocation teaching poor children. She began teaching
in her room at St. Cyr which was the start of the Congregation of the Holy
Family of Villefranche.
Her foundation expanded
its activity to young women and girls with difficulties, orphans and the
elderly. She established 38 institutions before she died.
A diary found after her
death showed that she had mystical revelations.
Wall Hanging Banner: Dye sublimation printing on a 100% close weave, natural feel polyester material with dowling, tulip wood end caps and gold effect hanging cord. Fire retardant: BS5867/Type B DIN4102. An extra depth of approx. 12" should be allowed when measuring to allow for the hanging cord. A sample of the material can be supplied upon request.
